Your community. Our convoy. Namibia. Herd runs small-group 4x4 convoy trips across Namibia, and our sauna travels with the group, pitched at every camp for a sunset session and a sunrise session, in a different wild place every day. The sauna tent at camp in the Namib, as the light goes

What it is

A sauna at every camp.

Eleven days across Namibia in a guided 4x4 convoy: Sesriem and Sossusvlei, Spitzkoppe, the Swakopmund coast and Etosha. Sixteen guests, four automatic 4x4s plus a guide vehicle, rooftop-tent camping and lodge nights. And at every stop, the sauna: pitched while camp is made, hot for sunset, lit again at sunrise. No one else sells a trip like this.

The partnership

The trip your members
will never stop talking about.

Three steps. Only the first one is your job.

01

You offer it to your members

A co-branded departure, under your club's name and Herd's, announced in your channels and your voice.

02

Your members travel together

Their own people, your community, in the desert. Sixteen seats, one group, and the ritual they already love in a place none of them has done it.

03

Herd runs everything on the ground

Vehicles, guides, camps, the sauna, food. From Windhoek airport when they land to Windhoek airport when they leave. Professional videography can be added on, so your club comes home with proper content from the trip.

Who does what

Why members say yes

Their ritual, taken to the Namib.

Sauna people travel for sauna. They plan weekends around famous bathhouses, fly for festivals, and build their weeks around the heat. This is the version none of them has done yet.

Heat, cold air, stars

Deep heat in the middle of the Namib, a step out into cold desert air, wildlife by day and the Milky Way by night.

An anchor trip, not a holiday

Members do not shop for a trip like this the way they shop for a holiday. It is the club's big trip of the year: the one they plan around, look forward to for months, and talk about long after they are home.

The shape of it.

Five departures run in 2027, the first from February 11 to 21. Every departure carries sixteen guests, and the sauna is part of the trip, not an extra.

Partner questions

Straight answers.

Who operates the trip?

Herd. We are a family-run Namibia operator, and our sister companies in car hire and transfers have run on Namibian roads for more than twenty years. The trip is ours, end to end.

Do we need to run anything in Namibia?

No. Everything on the ground is ours: vehicles, guides, camps, the sauna, food, and the transfers at both ends. Your members land in Windhoek and we take it from there.

Can we take a full departure?

Departures are built for sixteen guests. Talk to us about full or partial group takeovers, and we will shape the departure around your community. For more or fewer than sixteen people, ask us about a custom convoy.

When does it run?

Five departures in 2027. The first runs February 11 to 21, 2027, with later departures through the year.

What does it cost our club?

Nothing to join. Commercial terms are structured per partner. Talk to us and we will lay it out plainly.

How do guests cool off after the sauna?

Cooling off is part of the ritual. There is an ice bath at camp for a proper cold plunge straight after the heat, and showers when they want to rinse off — plus the cold desert night air, which does its share of the work.

Do members sauna twice a day, every day?

Almost. The pattern is a session at sunset and a session at sunrise, but a few days start early — the Sossusvlei sunrise morning is one — and then there is no morning session; on some days the sauna runs once, not twice. The evening sauna runs every day, and the guide talks through each day’s plan the night before.
